Benefits
Black tea is a herbal drink that supports wellness. It helps reduce fatigue, warms the body, and provides natural sugars. It supports digestion and immunity (tannins), supplies vitamins for anti-aging and skin beauty, nourishes and protects the stomach, helps burn excess fat for weight management (acids), and supports cancer prevention (EGCG antioxidants). It does not cause insomnia.
Brewing guide
Hot brew:
- Rinse teapot and cups with boiling water before brewing.
- Add 5–10g of tea to a 150ml teapot.
- Use water cooled to 80–90°C. Steep 30 seconds–1.5 minutes depending on preferred strength.
- Pour out all liquor. Fluff the leaves, rest 1–2 minutes, then re-steep. One pot yields 8–10 infusions.
Cold brew:
- Add 5–10g Shan black tea to 500ml pure water.
- Refrigerate for 8 hours or leave 2 hours at room temperature for 500ml of fragrant tea.
- Cold brewing releases full nutrients — clean grassy-sweet aroma and a sweet finish.
